1. EDITORIAL COMMENTS:

- New Orleans Police should have a blush of shame

This week projected media images of another black man being beaten by white police officers. Tell me, why is it, always white police officers beating a black man? I cannot recall seeing images of white or black police officers beating a white man. There is something wrong with this picture; of black men being beaten by white police officers and rarely, if ever, images of a white man being beaten by white or black police officers; it is racism.

Those New Orleans Police should have a blush of shame because it took two young-looking police officers to contain a 64-year-old black retired schoolteacher. Wow!

Those police officers should be fired, not only for what they did to retired schoolteacher Robert Davis but also because they are obviously not in any kind of physical shape. They were physically and mentally unqualified. They were wrestling and struggling with Davis and I could hear their heavy breathing as I watched the images on the television and even when I read accounts in the newspaper. I was out of breath for them. If I were those police officers and their supervisors, I would have, at least “a blush of shame” for the dishonor they brought on the New Orleans Police Department. Their actions are also indicative of a lack of police training. If I were either one of the police officers, I would be ashamed that it took two of us, backed up by a police officer on a horse, to subdue a 64-year-old retiree. They have lost their bragging rights.

And, the lawyer for the police officers and his illogic defense called to my mind the statement that I have heard that is suppose to be a joke, “99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name.” After hearing that lawyer, it’s easy to understand the proliferation of lawyer jokes. That lawyer is not one of 1%!


I shutter to think that a young black man in superb physical condition would have been shot to death by the police officers – I am sure of it!

Scandals are taking over the Bush Presidency

The Bush presidency is being consumed by scandals involving the highest leadership in the Republican Party and those closest to the President. And, those scandals are only the ones that have been made public. I would bet that there are others that have not yet been exposed. Deputy White House Chief of Staff Karl Rove heads the list of questionable personalities close to the President.

The bad behavior so close to the White House makes me more suspicious of the decisions that were made to go to war in Iraq and saddens me of the loss of lives of our young military members in Iraq and Afghanistan. Misbehavior is usually not a one-time event; being caught is. The scandals look like a pattern to me.

- The President stages a soldiers’ photo-op

The Commander-in-Chief sets up a photo-op with handpicked soldiers prepped with questions that they might be asked. The Washington Post reported in today’s edition that the soldiers were rehearsed before going on the live broadcast. Gee whiz, let the soldiers do what soldiers do best and do not hinder them with phony press conferences.

I don’t care what the soldiers say, the war is going badly and our young men and women need to come back home. We need to do whatever it takes to bring them back home. One more soldier killed or maimed is too many. Bush says, “We got a strategy, and it's a clear strategy." In my opinion, he is wrong, we don’t have a clear strategy and if you don’t have a clear strategy, you don’t have a strategy.

There’s an old saying in the military, “When you find yourself digging yourself in a hole, stop digging.” America needs to “stop digging the hole” in Iraq; and, in Afghanistan, too.

I was encouraged by one thing, and that is that no Black Americans were selected to participate in the charade.

- The Millions More Movement Commemoration held tomorrow

The Millions More Movement, marking the 10th anniversary of the Million Man March, will gather in Washington, DC tomorrow (Saturday, October 15, 2005) beginning at 5:30 a.m. and ending in the afternoon with an address by Minister Louis Farrakhan and other leaders. I am sure that it will be shown on C-Span.

2. LETTER FROM THE REVEREND DIONISIO MAZUZE OF THE EIGHTEENTH EPISCOPAL DISTRICT:

My brother and sisters in Christ

We are so thankful to God who gave us the single opportunity to meet and to know wonderful and lovable people like you.

Our family is facing trying times. We experienced having a loving dad in our lives and his death made our hearts sad. We have experienced such deep pain because exactly on the day that my father passed away, we lost my uncle, the only living member of my mother’s family 30 days prior to our father’s death. It was not easy for me see my mother grieve so soon after losing her uncle.

But, in all this we thank God for He comforted us and sent His people to make us understand, “…to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Eccles. 3:1). We thank God for the people who preached and spoke words of comfort and for those who prayed with us, and for us.

Yes, dad is gone. We praise God because now we understand that our dad was a man with mission and his life here was not in vain. About 2005 years ago God gave a mission to Joseph, whose mission it was to be an earthly father for our Lord and Savior, Jesus, and to teach him values; to teach him to respect others. So, it was with my father, God placed my father in this world to do something, and he did. God wanted my father to prepare, give a name, a heritage, a history to five boys and two girls. God gave him a very important mission to prepare me to be a pastor (alleluia), and to prepare his children committed stewards. God sent my father to teach us honesty, integrity and the right ways to live and to love humankind.

And, I am sure that God understood that my dad completed his mission through confirmation at the last annual conference. I am an Itinerant Elder and God called my father to rest.

We thank the Rev. Rosa Chilaule, Presiding Elder Machaieie, Brother Patmossi Macamo, the Rev. Pedro Muhate and Jaime Muhate for their presence. Glory be to God for Bishop Sarah Davis for calling upon the 18th Episcopal District to pray for us. Our thanks also to the Reverend Dr. Calvin H. Sydnor III, the Rev. Salomon Nxumalo, Bro. Dan Leeba from 17th Episcopal District), Miss. Sherell Crawford and others for their comforting messages and prayers.

Our family would also like to thank all of you, especially to the wonderfully people of Distrito de Maputo and Presiding Elder Vasco Tui for sending people to comfort and help us.

3. AN IMPORTANT RECURRING MESSAGE FROM DR. JEROME HARRIS FOR PREACHERS AFFECTED BY HURRICANE KATRINA:

Dr. Jerome V. Harris, Executive Director of the AMEC Department of Annuity Investment and Insurance has arranged with the annuity investment vendors, Symetra Insurance Company and American Express, to process requests for "Hardship" annuity withdrawals on an EXPEDITED basis for those participants affected by Hurricane Katrina.

4. BISHOP WILLIAMS HOLDS AME STATEWIDE HEALTH FAIR:

On Thursday October 6th 2005 a press conference was held at 12 noon. Bishop Preston W. Williams II, the presiding prelate of the African Methodist Episcopal Churches in South Carolina, along with Governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, Chairman of the National Governor’s Association, Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina and Raymond S. Greenburg, President of The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), expounded on the importance of health in the lives of all Americans. Their remarks were given at the AME Statewide Health Fair, which was held at Mother Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina

As a part of Governor Huckabee’s Healthy America Initiative, he is traveling across the country, visiting governors to learn about outstanding health and wellness programs in their states. His first visit was to Charleston where he selected the Seventh Episcopal District of the AME Church’s Health-e-AME Program as a “best practice” model. The Health-e-AME Program is an outreach project of the AME / MUSC partnership, which encourages people to make healthy lifestyle choices.

The free AME Health Fair was comprised of more than 20 booths of health professionals providing information and free screenings for high blood pressure and blood sugar levels, high cholesterol, Sickle Cell Anemia, prostate, breast and cervical cancer, and HIV/AIDS. MUSC’s Cancer van, dental van and Project Sugar van were on-site to provide free screenings and exams. Governor Huckabee and Governor Sanford toured the fair with AME and MUSC leaders and heard how the Health-e-AME partnership evolved into a model program that serves tens of thousands of South Carolinians each year.

Ms. Phyllis Allen, the AME Seventh District’s Nutrition Director, provided healthy cooking demonstrations and Ms. Rosetta Swinton, the District’s Health Director, was present to answer all questions relating to the Health-e-AME Program.
The Health-e-AME Program is designed to promote wholeness of mind, body and spirit. Its focus is to encourage healthy lifestyles through healthy eating, regular exercise and early disease screening and prevention.

The Healthy America: Wellness Where We Live, Work and Learn is a new initiative to raise national awareness about the urgent need for all Americans - children, teenagers, adults and seniors - to live healthier, more active lives. It is designed to help the nation’s governors enact effective programs that reduce obesity, improve wellness and promote physical activity.

1. REDACTIE COMMENTAREN:

-De Politie van New Orleans zou moeten hebben van schande blozen

Deze week ontwierp media beelden van de een andere zwarte mens die door witte politieambtenaren wordt geslagen. Vertel me, waarom het, altijd witte politieambtenaren sla een zwarte mens? Ik kan niet aan het zien van beelden van witte of zwarte politieambtenaren herinneren die een witte mens slaan. Er zijn iets verkeerd met dit beeld; van zwarte mensen die door witte politieambtenaren en zelden, indien ooit, beelden van een witte mens worden geslagen die door witte of zwarte politieambtenaren wordt geslagen; het is racisme.

Die Politie van New Orleans zou moeten hebben van schande blozen omdat het twee young-looking politieambtenaren nam om 64 éénjarigen zwarte teruggetrokken leraar te bevatten. Wow!

Die politieambtenaren zouden, niet alleen voor wat moeten worden in brand gestoken zij aan teruggetrokken leraar Robert Davis deden maar ook omdat zij duidelijk niet in enig soort fysieke vorm zijn. Zij waren fysisch ongeschikt en geestelijk. Zij worstelden en worstelden metDavis en ik kon hun zware ademhaling horen aangezien ik op de beelden op de televisie lette en zelfs wanneer ik rekeningen in de krant las. Ik was uit adem voor hen. Als ik die politieambtenaren en hun supervisors was, zou ik hebben, minstens „bloos van schande“ voor de schande die zij op de Afdeling van de Politie van New Orleans hebben gebracht. Hun acties zijn ook indicatief van een gebrek aan politie opleiding. Als ik één van beide één van de politieambtenaren was, zou ik beschaamd zijn dat het twee van ons nam, gesteund door een politieambtenaar op een paard, om een 64 éénjarigengepensioneerde te onderwerpen. Zij hebben hun het opscheppen rechten verloren.

En, de advocaat voor politie riepen de ambtenaren en zijn illogic defensie naar mijn mening de verklaring die ik heb gehoord ben die veronderstel een grap te zijn, „99% van advocaten geven de rest een slechte naam.“ Na het horen van die advocaat, is het gemakkelijk om de proliferatie van advocaatgrappen te begrijpen. Die advocaat is geen één van 1%!


I blind om te denken dat een jonge zwarte mens in buitengewone fysieke voorwaarde aan dood door de politieambtenaren zou ontsproten zijn - ik ben zeker van het!

De schandalen nemen het Voorzitterschap van de Struik over

Het voorzitterschap van de Struik wordt door schandalen verbruikt die de hoogste leiding in de Republikeinse Partij en die dichtst impliceren aan de Voorzitter. En, die schandalen zijn slechts de die openbaar zijn gemaakt. Ik zou wedden dat er anderen zijn die nog niet zijn blootgesteld. Leidt de Leider van het Witte Huis van de afgevaardigde van Personeel Karl Rove de lijst van twijfelachtige persoonlijkheden dicht bij de Voorzitter.

Het slechte gedrag dicht bij het Witte Huis maakt me zo van de besluiten verdachter die om naar oorlog in Irak werden genomente gaan en bedroeft me van het verlies van het leven van onze jonge militaire leden inIrak enAfghanistan. Misbehavior is gewoonlijk geen éénmalige gebeurtenis; wordt gevangen. De schandalen kijken als een patroon aan me.

- De stadia van de Voorzitter een foto-op van militairen

De bevelhebber-in-Leider zet foto-op met uitgelezen militairen op prepped met vragen dat zij zouden kunnen worden gevraagd. De Washington Post rapporteerde in de uitgave van vandaag dat de militairen alvorens op de levende uitzending te gaan werden gerepeteerd. Gee whiz, liet de militairen doen welke militairen beste doen en hen niet met phony persconferenties belemmeren.

Ik geef wat niet de militairen zeggen, slecht gaat de oorlog en onze jonge mannen en vrouwen moeten naar huis terugkomen. Wij moeten doen wat het neemt om achter hen naar huis te brengen. Één meer gedood of verminkte militair is teveel. De struik zegt, „wij kregen een strategie, en het is een duidelijke strategie.“ Naar mijn mening, is hij verkeerd, hebben wij geen duidelijke strategie en als u geen duidelijke strategie hebt, hebt u geen strategie.

Er zijn het oude zeggen in militair, „wanneer u zich vindt gravend in een gat, ophoudt gravend.“ Amerika moet „ophouden gravend het gat“ inIrak; en, inAfghanistan, ook.

Ik werd aangemoedigd door één ding, en dat is dat geen Zwarte Amerikanen om aan charade werden geselecteerd deel te nemen.

- Miljoenen Meer morgen gehouden Herdenking van de Beweging

Miljoenen Meer Beweging, die de 10de verjaardag van de Miljoen Man Maart merkt, zullen zich in Washington, DC dat morgen (Zaterdag, Oktober 15, 2005) in 5:30 a.m. en in de middag met een adres beëindigt door Minister Louis Farrakhan en andere leiders begint verzamelen. Ik ben zeker dat het op c-Spanwijdte zal worden getoond.
2. BRIEF VAN REVEREND DIONISIO MAZUZE VAN HET ACHTTIENDE BISSCHOPPELIJKE DISTRICT:

Mijn broer en zusters in Christus

Wij zijn zo dankbaar aan God die ons de enige kans bood om prachtige en lieve mensen als u te ontmoeten en te kennen.

Onze familie ziet het proberen van tijden onder ogen. Wij ervoeren het hebben van een houdende van papa in ons leven en zijn dood maakte onze harten droevig. Wij hebben dergelijke diepe pijn ervaren omdat precies op de dag die mijn vader overleed, wij mijn oom, het enige levende lid van de familie van mijn moeder 30 dagen voorafgaand aan de dood van onze vader verloren. Het was niet gemakkelijk voor me ziet mijn moeder zo spoedig na het verliezen van haar oom grieve.

Maar in dit alles zijn wij god zij dank want hij ons troostte en Zijn mensen stuurde om ons te maken begrijpen, „… aan elk ding daar een seizoen, en een tijd aan elk doel onder de hemel (Eccles. 3:1). Wij god zij dank voor de mensen die predikten en woorden van comfort en voor zij spraken die met ons, en voor ons baden.

Ja, is de papa gegaan. Wij prijzen God omdat wij begrijpen nu dat onze papa een mens met opdracht was en zijn leven hier niet vergeefs was. Ongeveer 2005 jaar geleden gaf de God een opdracht aan Joseph, van wie opdracht het een aardse vader voor onze Lord en Savior, Jesus was te zijn, en hem waarden te onderwijzen; om hem te onderwijzen om anderen te eerbiedigen. Zo, was het met mijn vader, plaatste de God mijn vader in deze wereld om iets te doen, en hij. De god wilde mijn vader een naam, een erfenis, een geschiedenis aan vijf jongens en twee meisjes voorbereiden, geven. De god gaf hem een zeer belangrijke opdracht om me voor te bereiden om pastor (alleluia) te zijn, en zijn kinderen toegewijde beheerders voor te bereiden. De god stuurde mijn vader om ons eerlijkheid, integriteit en de juiste manieren te onderwijzen te leven en van mensdom te houden.

En, ik ben zeker dat de God begreep dat mijn papa zijn opdracht door bevestiging op de laatste jaarlijkse conferentie voltooide. Ik ben Rondtrekkende Ouder en een God riep mijn vader om te rusten.

Wij danken Toer Rosa Chilaule, het Voorzitten Oudere Machaieie, Broer Patmossi Macamo, Toer Pedro Muhate en Jaime Muhate voor hun aanwezigheid. De glorie is aan God voor Bischop Sarah Davis voor het verzoeken van het 18de Bisschoppelijke District om voor ons te bidden. Onze dank ook aan Reverend Dr.Calvin H. Sydnor III, Toer Salomon Nxumalo, Bro. Dan Leeba van 17de Bisschoppelijk District), Misser. Sherell Crawford en anderen voor hun troostende berichten en gebeden.

3. EEN BELANGRIJK TERUGKOMEND BERICHT VAN DR. JEROME HARRIS VOOR PREACHERS DIE DOOR ORKAAN KATRINA WORDT BEÏNVLOED:

Dr. Jerome V. Harris, Uitvoerende Directeur heeft van het Ministerie AMEC van de Investering en de Verzekering van de Annuïteit met de verkopers van de annuïteiteninvestering, De Verzekeringsmaatschappij Symetra en American Express, geschikt om verzoeken om de annuïteitenterugtrekking van de „Ontbering“ op een BEVORDERDE basis voor die deelnemers te verwerken die door Orkaan Katrina worden beïnvloed.

Alle deelnemers die aan de Achtste (de Mississippien Louisiane)worden toegewezen, Negende (Alabama) en Elfde (Florida) Bisschoppelijke Districten zijn verkiesbaar voor de bevorderde terugtrekking van de ontberingsannuïteit. In een inspanning om meer directe financiële hulp aan personen op deze verwoeste gebieden te verlenen, kunnen de bevorderde betalingen nu worden verricht en worden ontvangen binnen zodra 24 uren, afhankelijk van de wijze van distributie, d.w.z. de Directe Overdracht van de Bank, de Post van de V.S., enz. Het normale terugtrekkingsproces vereist gewoonlijk ongeveer 3 - 4 weken, zodat onze worden pastors en hun families gegeven voor en, in dit keer van moeilijkheid, met de bevorderde regeling gegeven.

4. DE BISCHOP WILLIAMS HOUDT MARKT DE OVER DE GEHELE STAAT VAN DE GEZONDHEID AME:

Op Donderdag 6 Oktober 2005 werd een persconferentie om 12 u 's middags gehouden bij. Bishop Preston W. Williams II, voorzittende prelate van de Afrikaanse Methodist Bisschoppelijke Kerken in Zuid-Carolina, samen met Gouverneur Mike Huckabee van Arkansas, Voorzitter van het de Vereniging van de Nationale Gouverneur, Teken Sanford van de Gouverneur van Zuid-Carolina en Raymond S. Greenburg, Voorzitter van de Medische Universiteit van Zuid-Carolina (MUSC), zette op het belang van gezondheid in het leven van alle Amerikanen uiteen. Hun opmerkingen werden gegeven bij de Markt Over de gehele staat van de Gezondheid AME, die bij de Kerkvan Emmanuel AME van de Moeder in Charleston, Zuid-Carolina werd gehouden

Als deel van Initiatief van Amerika van Huckabee van de Gouverneur het Gezonde, reist hij over het land, dat gouverneurs bezoekt om over opmerkelijke gezondheid en wellnessprogramma's in hun staten te leren. Zijn eerste bezoek was aanCharleston waar hij het Zevende Bisschoppelijke District van het gezondheid-e-van de Kerk AME AME- Programma als „beste praktijken“ model selecteerde. Het gezondheid-e-AME- Programma is overtreft project van het vennootschap van AME/MUSC, dat mensen aanmoedigt om gezonde levensstijlkeuzen te maken.

De vrije Markt van de Gezondheid werd AME van meer dan 20 cabines van gezondheidsberoeps samengesteld die informatie en vrije onderzoeken verstrekken voor hoge bloeddruk en van de bloedsuiker niveaus, de met hoog cholesterolgehalte, Bloedarmoede van de Cel van de Sikkel, voorstanderklier, borst en cervicale kanker, en HIV/AIDS. De bestelwagen van Kanker van MUSC, de tandbestelwagen en de bestelwagen van de Suiker van het Project waren ter plaatse om vrije onderzoeken en examens te verstrekken. De gouverneur Huckabee en de Gouverneur Sanford reisten de markt met leiders AME en MUSC en hoorden hoe het vennootschap gezondheid-e-AME in een modelprogramma evolueerde dat tientallen duizenden van ZuidenCarolinians elk jaar dient.

Mej. Phyllis Allen, de Directeur van de Voeding van het District AME Zevende, op voorwaarde dat de gezonde het koken demonstraties en Mej. Rosetta Swinton, de Directeur van de Gezondheid van het District, aanwezig waren om alle vragen met betrekking tot het gezondheid-e-AME- Programma te beantwoorden.
Het gezondheid-e-AME- Programma wordt opgesteld om volledigheid van mening, lichaam en geest te bevorderen. Zijn nadruk moet gezonde levensstijlen door het gezonde eten, regelmatige oefening en vroege ziekteonderzoek en preventie aanmoedigen.

Gezond Amerika: Wellness waar wij leven, werkt en leert is een nieuw initiatief om nationale voorlichting over de dringende behoefte aan alle Amerikanen - kinderen, tieners, volwassenen en oudsten op te heffen - om het gezondere, actievere te leven leven. Het wordt ontworpen om de gouverneurs van de natie te helpen efficiënte programma's bepalen die zwaarlijvigheid verminderen, wellness verbeteren en fysieke activiteit bevorderen.

-El policía de New Orleans debe tener una ruborización de la vergüenza

Esta semana proyectó imágenes de los medios de otro hombre negro que era batido por los oficiales de policía blancos. ¿Dígame, por qué es él, oficiales de policía siempre blancos que baten a un hombre negro? No puedo recordar el ver de imágenes de los oficiales de policía blancos o negros que baten a un hombre blanco. Hay algo mal con este cuadro; de los hombres negros que son batidos por los oficiales de policía blancos y raramente, si siempre, las imágenes de un hombre blanco que es batido por los oficiales de policía blancos o negros; es racismo.

Eso policía de New Orleans debe tener una ruborización de la vergüenza porque tomó a dos oficiales de policía joven-que miraban para contener un maestro jubilado negro de 64 años. ¡Ululación!

Misbehavior no es generalmente un acontecimiento de una sola vez; está siendo siendo cogido. Los escándalos parecen un patrón a mí.

Mi hermano y hermanas en Cristo

Somos tan agradecidos al dios que nos dio la sola oportunidad de satisfacer y de conocer a gente maravillosa y lovable como usted.

Nuestra familia es revestimientos que intentan épocas. Experimentamos el tener de un papá cariñoso en nuestras vidas y su muerte hizo nuestros corazones tristes. Hemos experimentado tal dolor profundo porque exactamente en el día que mi padre pasó lejos, perdimos a mi tío, el único miembro vivo de la familia de mi madre 30 días antes de la muerte de nuestro padre. No era fácil para mí ve a mi madre afligirse tan pronto después de perder a su tío.

Pero, en todo el esto que agradecemos a dios por él nos confortó y envió a su gente para hacer que entendemos, “… a cada cosa hay una estación, y una época a cada propósito bajo cielo (Eccles. 3:1). Agradecemos a dios por la gente que predicó y hablamos palabras de la comodidad y para los que rogaron con nosotros, y para nosotros.

Sí, van al papá. Elogiamos a dios porque ahora entendemos que nuestro papá era un hombre con la misión y su vida aquí no estaba en inútil. Hace aproximadamente 2005 años de dios dio una misión a José, que misión era ser un padre terrenal para nuestro señor y salvador, Jesús, y enseñarle valores; para enseñarlo a respetar otros. -La police de la Nouvelle-Orléans devrait avoir un rougissement de la honte

Cette semaine a projeté des images de médias d'un autre homme noir battu par les dirigeants blancs de police. Dites-moi, pourquoi êtes il, dirigeants toujours blancs de police battant un homme noir ? Je ne peux pas me rappeler voir des images des dirigeants blancs ou noirs de police battant un homme blanc. Il y a quelque chose mal avec cette image ; des hommes noirs battu par les dirigeants blancs de police et rarement, si jamais, les images d'un homme blanc battu par les dirigeants blancs ou noirs de police ; c'est racisme.

Ces police de la Nouvelle-Orléans devrait avoir un rougissement de la honte parce qu'il a fallu à deux polices jeune-regardantes des dirigeants pour contenir un instituteur retiré par noir de 64 ans. Défaut de la reproduction sonore !

Ces dirigeants de police devraient être mis le feu, non seulement pour ce qu'ils ont fait à l'instituteur retiré Robert Davis mais également parce qu'ils ne sont évidemment pas dans aucun genre de forme physique. Ils étaient physiquement et mentalement incompétents. Ils étaient luttants et la lutte avecDavis et moi pourrait entendre leur respiration lourde pendant que j'observais les images à la télévision et même lorsque j'ai lu des comptes dans le journal. J'étais hors de souffle pour eux. Si j'étais ces dirigeants de police et leurs surveillants, j'aurais, au moins « un rougissement de la honte » pour le déshonneur qu'ils ont apporté sur le département de police de la Nouvelle-Orléans. Leurs actions sont également indicative d'un manque de formation de police. Si j'étais l'un ou l'autre un des dirigeants de police, j'aurais honte qu'il a fallu à deux de nous, soutenu par un dirigeant de police sur un cheval, pour soumettre un retraité de 64 ans. Ils ont perdu leurs droites de vantardise.

Et, l'avocat pour les dirigeants de police et sa défense illogic a appelé à mon avis le rapport que j'ai entendu que qui est supposez pour être une plaisanterie, « 99% d'avocats donne au repos une réputation mauvaise. » Après l'audition que l'avocat, il est facile de comprendre la prolifération des plaisanteries d'avocat. Cet avocat n'est pas l'un de 1% !

Les scandales assurent la présidence de Bush

La présidence de Bush est consommée par des scandales impliquant la conduite la plus élevée dans la partie républicaine et ceux les plus proches du président. Et, ces scandales sont seulement ceux qui ont été faits à public. Je parierais qu'il y a d'autres qui n'ont pas été encore exposés. Le chef de député White House de la mèche de Karl de personnel est à la tête de la liste de personnalités incertaines près du président.

Le mauvais comportement ainsi près de la Maison Blanche me rend plus soupçonneux des décisions qui ont été prises pour aller faire la guerreen Irak et s'attriste me de la perte des vies de nos jeunes membres militairesen Irak eten Afghanistan. Misbehavior n'est habituellement pas un événement jetable ; est étant attrapé. Les scandales ressemblent à un modèle à moi.

- Le président met en scène les soldats photo-op

Le Commander-in-Chief établit un photo-op avec les soldats cueillis à la main préparés avec des questions qu'elles pourraient être demandées. Le poteau de Washington rapporté en édition d'aujourd'hui que les soldats ont été préparés avant d'aller sur l'émission de phase. Le whiz de Gee, a laissé les soldats faire quels soldats font mieux et ne les gênent pas avec de fausses conférences de presse.

Je ne m'inquiète pas ce que les soldats disent, la guerre va mal et nos jeunes hommes et femmes doivent revenir à la maison. Nous devons faire celui qu'il prenne pour leur rapporter à la maison. Un plus de soldat tué ou mutilé est un trop grand nombre. Je suis sûr qu'on lui montrera sur la C-Envergure.
2. LETTRE DU DIONISIO MAZUZE DE RÉVÉREND DE LA DIX-HUITIÈME ZONE ÉPISCOPALE :

Mon frère et soeurs en Christ

Nous sommes si reconnaissants à Dieu qui nous a donné l'occasion simple de rencontrer et connaître les personnes merveilleuses et aimables comme toi.

Notre famille est des revêtements essayant des périodes. Nous avons éprouvé avoir un papa affectueux en quelques nos vies et sa mort a rendu nos coeurs tristes. Nous avons éprouvé tant de douleur profonde parce qu'exactement le jour que mon père a passé loin, nous avons perdu mon oncle, le seul membre vivant de la famille de ma mère 30 jours avant la mort de notre père. Il n'était pas facile pour moi voient ma mère s'affliger tellement peu après avoir perdu son oncle.

Mais, en tout ceci que nous remercions Dieu He nous a soulagés et a envoyé ses personnes pour nous inciter à comprendre, « … à chaque chose il y a une saison, et un temps à chaque but sous le ciel (Eccles. 3:1). Nous remercions Dieu du peuple qui a prêché et avons parlé des mots de confort et pour ceux qui ont prié avec nous, et pour nous.

Oui, le papa est allé. Nous félicitons Dieu parce que maintenant nous comprenons que notre papa était un homme avec la mission et sa vie ici n'était pas en vain. Il y a environ 2005 ans de Dieu a donné une mission à Joseph, dont la mission était d'être un père terrestre pour notre seigneur et sauveur, Jésus, et pour lui enseigner des valeurs ; pour l'enseigner à respecter d'autres. Ainsi, il était avec mon père, Dieu a placé mon père en ce monde pour faire quelque chose, et il. Dieu a voulu que mon père préparât, donne un nom, un héritage, une histoire à cinq garçons et deux filles. Dieu lui a donné une mission très importante pour me disposer à être un pasteur (alléluia), et préparer ses enfants a commis des administrateurs. Dieu a envoyé mon père pour nous enseigner l'honnêteté, l'intégrité et les bonnes manières de vivre et d'aimer l'humanité.

Et, je suis sûr que Dieu a compris que mon papa a accompli sa mission par la confirmation à la dernière conférence annuelle. Je suis un aîné et un Dieu ambulants appelés le mon père à reposer.

Greenburg, président de l'université médicale de la Caroline du Sud (MUSC), exposée sur l'importance de la santé dans les vies de tous les Américains. Nós somos assim thankful ao deus que nos deu a única oportunidade de se encontrar com e conhecer povos maravilhosos e lovable como você.

3. WOMEN TO CELEBRATE THE BLESSING OF GIVING BIRTH AT
WOMEN’S GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2005:

While media statistics indicate that domestic violence increases during pregnancy and also in high percentage results in the death of both mother and baby at the hand of her abuser, a Women’s Conference sponsored by “Sisters Keeping the Covenant” is set for Friday, November 18 thru Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the First District Plaza, 3801 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which will highlight women carrying to full term and giving birth.

Titled, Women’s General Assembly 2005, “AND SHE SHALL BRING FORTH,” and using Luke 1:31 as a scriptural foundation, the conference will aid in the process of women identifying that which God has placed in them as God moves them to the place of giving birth to the vision, and further, how to nurture and care for that which is born of God for the edifying of the church and for the expansion of God’s glorious kingdom. Women’s General Assembly 2005 will provide a forum for all women, regardless of race, denominational affiliation, or economical status, for spiritual renewal, restoration, healing, and revival.

The Conference will open on Friday, November 18th at 7 P.M. with a “Water Breaking” Praise Shower which will feature “The Birth Day Choir,” the Daughters of Shabach Dance Ministry of Baltimore, MD, New Covenant Praise Band of Philadelphia, PA, and the Voices of Africa Choral Ensemble of Philadelphia.

A dynamic panel discussion entitled, Women in the Office—“Birthing in the Natural what is Born of the Spirit will highlight the events to be held on Saturday, November 19th. Also, “Breathtaking” workshop topics include, “Formed in Secret, Fashioned for His Service,” “How Can a Woman Cleanse Her Ways,” “Getting Through the Process to Get to the Promise,” “Push Until You Birth the Promise,” “Cut Those Cords and Take Up Your Cross,” “Out of Your Belly and Into a Blessing,” “After Birth, Then What,” “Drip Drop, Rain On Me,” God Saw Me Before I Saw Myself,” “If You Can Release the Baggage, God Will Enlarge Your Borders,” “Cradle Me, But Don’t Crowd My Space,” and “Past Due By Our Standard, But In Step With God’s Plan.”

Women’s General Assembly 2005 will also have available a Labor Room, where women will be able to PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens) with the assistance of a team of intercessory prayer warriors.

The culminating event of the conference will be a Birth Day Celebration, which will open with Birth Day Party Praise and ascend to full dilation, as Rev. Maxine L. Thomas, founder and Executive Director of Sisters Keeping the Covenant, and Assisting Director Rev. Dr. Henrietta Scott Fullard, will preach a dual message.

"Sisters Keeping the Covenant" is a healing and restorative ministry for all women and sets its aim at providing forums for biblical teaching, and life changing worship experiences through Women’s General Assemblies and other seminars and programs.

Rev. Maxine L. Thomas has coordinated Women’s Conferences for more than a decade and continues to channel her efforts and prayers into presenting forums where women will encounter the presence of God through Holy Ghost Bible preaching and teaching, as well as receive pampering, enjoy the fellowship and bond of sisterhood, and celebrate the unique and special gift of womanhood. Rev. Maxine is the Connectional Director of Ministries for Women under the Department of Church Growth and Development for the AME Church; the Editor of the First District Flame Newspaper; the Assistant Pastor of Morris Brown AME Church in Philadelphia, where her husband of 17 years is the dynamic pastor; a Christian author of devotional books for women; former radio talk show host; the founder, producer and host of Adonai Christian Talk Show; a Christian columnist for various publication; a loving and devoted wife; and the mother of three brilliant and beautiful daughters, Tricia, Traci, and Trina.

Rev. Dr. Fullard is currently the visionary Presiding Elder of the Jamaica Long Island District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and is the distinguished first woman Presiding Elder of the Philadelphia District where she served prior to being assigned to her current district. Dr. Fullard is a former educator and high school principal in the New York School System and she is currently the Campus Minister of York College in NY, NY serving a community of over 5,000 scholars. She is the former pastor of Bethel AME Church in Arverne, NY where her inspired efforts saved the church from closing and where she instituted a feeding program that serviced hundreds throughout the week in the Arverne community. She is a member of many religious and civic boards and is the President of the South Queens Clergy Alliance. Her efforts in kingdom building continue to unfold as she continues to avail herself to serving the needs of her presiding elder district, the need for providing substantive ministry that is revealed in spiritually based programs, and service oriented projects.

The conferences that Rev. Maxine have coordinated have been graced by the sound of the trumpet, the sweet melody of a harp, the voice of gospel recording artist, Valerie Boyd, the presence of Miss New Jersey who graced the conference with a guest appearance on “Beauty Boulevard,” and a panel of professional women in leadership who shared both the blessing and burden of their success. As God’s Spirit has moved, women have been slain under the power of the Holy Ghost, lifted in spiritual jubilation, and have stood still in God’s most holy presence.

The host church for Women’s General Assembly 2005 is Mt. Tabor AME Church in Philadelphia, PA where the Rev. Martha Lang is the esteemed and dedicated pastor. The presentation of this gathering is a combined effort of the pastors and churches of the various Philadelphia and New York Conferences of the AME Church, and a collaborative intervention of support rendered by women’s ministry workers of varied denominations throughout the east coast region.

4. SEVENTH EPISCOPAL DISTRICT’S 2005 AME COLUMBIA ANNUAL CONFERENCE:

From Sunday September 11th to Friday September 16th the 7th District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, which encompasses the entire state of South Carolina, convened in Columbia for its 2005 Columbia Annual Conference. This weeklong event was held at Emmanuel AME Church located at 2130 Barhamville Road in Columbia. Between 3000 to 4000 AME church clergy and delegates attended this Conference during which various committees addressed issues such as: The State of the Church and Country, Family Life, Christian Education, Temperance, Evangelism, Women's and Youth Ministries, Social Action, and Prison and Hospital Ministries.

The Columbia Conference is comprised of the Columbia, Lancaster and Newberry-Spartanburg Districts. This 128th Session makes it the second oldest of six annual conferences. With 30 churches in Columbia, 34 in Lancaster, and 30 in Newberry-Spartanburg the Columbia Conference contains nearly 25,000 AME members and with 634 churches throughout South Carolina, the 7th Episcopal District contains nearly 200,000 AME members statewide.

The city of Columbia serves as the capital of the 7th Episcopal District, the seat of Allen University, and home of the Episcopal Residence. The Annual Conference is where the entire church body comes together to assess what has been accomplished during the previous year and set goals for the upcoming year.

Greetings,

To God be the glory for another spirited and sometimes humorous Columbia Annual Conference under the dynamic leadership of Bishop Preston Warren Williams II and Mrs. Wilma Deloris Webb-Williams. We thank God for their vision of community outreach, emphasis on Christian education, and for the unrelenting work, accomplishments and renewed direction of this 128th session of the Columbia Annual Conference by way of the following resolution:

Whereas, the Columbia Annual Conference convened on September 11, 2005 at Emmanuel AME Church 2130 Barhamville Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29204.
Whereas, enlightened by the pre-annual conference Debs and Masters Showcase on Sunday September 12, 2005 under the excellent leadership of Mrs. Wilhelmina Broughton and the Reverend Antonio Bonner, as the finest in the Columbia District were crowned.

Whereas, the mandate from Jesus to “go into all the world” was demonstrated by the various components of our church as they visited numerous public service agencies throughout the Columbia area.

Whereas, the Sons of Allen presented unto us a wonderful and spiritual worship experience as men from across the district came together with blended voices. We were inspired by the awesome sermon brought by the Reverend Rubin Smalls, entitled “Overcoming Your Handicap” taking his text from Mark 10:46-52.

Whereas, Bishop Williams officially opened the Columbia Annual Conference on Tuesday September 13, 2005 at 8:30 am. The Reverend Pamela Jacob, Conference Secretary, called the roll and all were present and accounted for.

Whereas, the Columbia Annual Conference was organized by our proficient leader Bishop Preston Warren Williams II and boundaries of the conference were established. We were led into a lively worship experience as the Columbia Conference choir sang melodious songs. We were enlightened and energized by Reverend Leroy Cannon in his sermon entitled, “Get in the Boat and Stay in the Boat” as he delivered our opening sermon taking his text from Matthew 22: 25. Reverend Cannon reminded us that, “if you stay in the boat, God will take care of you.”

Whereas, the afternoon session began with pastoral reports from the Newberry-Spartanburg District under the leadership of Presiding Elder Rosalyn Coleman. The pastors proudly shared their reports and the work of the district.

Whereas, on Tuesday night the Columbia Conference branch of the Women’s Missionary Society, under the leadership of Sister Wilhelmina Broughton, President, called us to a night of mission: we were profoundly blessed by Mother Deloris Webb-Williams, as she delivered a motivating and challenging message entitled, “Empowerment of Women”, using as a scripture Luke 24:44-49. Mother Williams effectively drove home the importance of missionaries being empowered to do God’s work.

Whereas, the conference opened Wednesday with devotion, followed by the business session. The pastors and delegates of Lancaster District under the leadership of Presiding Elder James R. Glover enthusiastically presented their reports and informed the conference of the work of the district.

Whereas, the conference enjoyed a midday worship service heightened by the powerful soul-stirring message delivered by the Reverend Dr. Betty Clark from John 4:7, entitled “Broken but Alive.” Dr. Clark very skillfully preached with the underlying message to the church that brokenness is a human but repairable condition remedied by the healing hand of God.

Whereas, the conference enjoyed the evening with the Youth Witness Program presented by way of the theme “Purpose Driven Youth” with the skit entitled “The Seven Deadly Sins”, dramatically concluded with a liturgical dance called “A Sinner’s Prayer” performed by the Conference Praise Dancers. Bethel AME and the Columbia Conference Youth Choirs under the leadership of Rev. Carolyn Brailsford rendered Songs.

Whereas, the conference opened Thursday with devotional service followed by the business session. The Columbia District under the leadership of Presiding Elder William Smith Jr. passionately submitted their reports and informed the conference of the work of the district.

Whereas, Christian Education Day was packed with creative, insightful, relevant and useful information.

Whereas, our presenters, the Reverend Marty L. Henderson, gave an informative workshop on the 21 irrefutable laws of leadership from a Biblical perspective. Reverend Reginald C. Morton gave a presentation using the quadrennial theme, “Living Well”, emphasizing physical fitness, prevention and restoration. Chaplain Addison Burgess presented the qualifications for becoming chaplain in the armed forces. Mr. Joe Benton gave a workshop on Transformative Ministry Youth Focus. He gave statistical data on juvenile defenders by counties and racial breakdown.

Bishop Williams presented the President of Allen University a conference gift of thirty-two thousand four hundred dollars ($32,400.00).

Whereas, our Noonday Service started on a high note, the conference choir rendered songs that were moving and stimulating; songs that Bishop Williams coined “corn field ditties” that will put clapping in your hands and stomping in your feet.

Whereas, Dr. Charles E. Young, President of Allen University, reported that the current enrollment is six hundred plus, with hopes of increasing the student enrollment to seven hundred. The administration building is currently undergoing retrofitting. Dr. Young further stated that Allen University has received a 4 million dollar pledge towards a student-housing complex and a five-year plan is in place to move Allen University to the next level.

Whereas, Dr. Charles E. Young, preached to us from the subject, “Setting the Record Straight”, on stewardship, fellowship and worship. Taking his text from Psalms 24, Dr. Young commanded our attention as he delivered a powerful sermon.

To God be the glory for the great things he has done.

Whereas, on Thursday evening, the Columbia Lay Conference Witness entertained us with soulful singing and praise. The speaker of the hour, Dr. Pam Simmons, Chairperson in the English Department- Allen University, challenged us with the message, “Reclaiming the Lost.

Whereas, the Allen University football team attended the lay celebration.
Whereas, on Friday, September 16, 2005, Morning Session opened with the culmination of pastoral and conference committee reports. The Board of Examiners presented the candidates for admission: Hymin Ethredge, Darlene Madison, Timothy Taylor, Mary A. Hall, Albert Johnson, and Wayne Pratt.

Whereas, on Friday September 16th, we began the day with devotion by the licentiates at 8:00 pm and following the Presiding Prelate gave opening remarks and then had Dr. Daniel Jacobs of the Turner School of Theology at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA preside over the conclusion of the Columbia District‘s pastoral reports.

Whereas, the committee members of the conference gave the literary reports, namely: the State of the Church and the Country, Christian Education, Family Life and Church Growth. These reports provide the members of the conference with information and recommendations to enhance our lives in and out of the sanctuary.

Whereas, the Columbia Conference received the report of the Ministerial Efficiency Committee, with the request of the Reverends Joseph Brown, Jr. And, William Brunson to retire from Parish Ministry. The conference accepted their requests and we celebrate their victory for Christ through Parish Ministry.

Whereas, the Committee on Presiding Elders Support was given with the recommendation that the Presiding Elders receive an immediate 9% increase in compensation with an annual increase of three percent every year thereafter.

Whereas, the Board of Examiners offered that Lemetis A. Johnson, Ernest E. Yarborough, Darlene Madison, Timothy Taylor, and Tymone Etheridge be admitted to the Columbia Conference in pursuit of itinerant orders and Mary H. Hall and Wayne K. Pratt, be admitted in pursuit of local ministerial orders. And, on candidate: the Rev. Moses Rembert was submitted for ordination as an Itinerant Elder. The Board of Examiners, under the leadership of the Presiding Elders and Chair, the Rev. Ronnie E. Brailsford, was commissioned for another year.

Whereas, the conference was greeted by special guests Linda Yarrell and Lisa Samuel of NBSC. V.V. Reid School presented the conference with $1,500.00 for relief in the storm-ravaged areas of the gulf coast.

Whereas, the disciplinary questions were asked by our Presiding Prelate, the Rt. Reverend Preston Warren Williams II, determining that the 129th session of the Columbia Annual Conference will be held at Miller Chapel AME Church - Newberry, SC.

Whereas, the characters of the ministers in the conference were passed.

Whereas, the Midday “Hour of Power” opened with the Rev. Ronnie E. Brailsford serving as worship leader. The service opened with the singing of the hymn, “How to Reach the Masses”, lined by Rev. Izora Adamson. Rev. Robert China took us to the throne of grace in prayer and the choir led us in glorious songs of praise and thanksgiving. Rev. Novell Goff presented our Presiding Prelate, Bishop Preston Warren Williams II, to the congregation. Bishop introduced our speaker, Rev. Cesar Richburg of Allen Temple Greenville. Rev. Richburg preached with power and deliverance coming from Romans 4:17-21. He spoke from the sermon title “From Dead End to Deliverance”, reminding us that we have to learn to wait on the lord.

Whereas, we were blessed to witness and participate in the ordination of Rev. Moses Rembert.

Whereas, we witnessed the Church School presentation on the subject “A Lame Man Healed”, found in the scriptures in Acts chapter 3, verses 1-16. Reverends Eric Dent, Robert L. China, Stephen Singleton and Larie Weeks presented and taught the relevant lesson on healing, miracles and the fruit of the spirit.

Whereas, Rev. Robert L. China led the Committee on Memorials in our service of remembrance as we reflected on the lives and ministries of Reverends Ervin Holmes, Willie Pringle and J.C. Roache.

Whereas, substantial monetary donations were made to several public service agencies and various components have pledged ongoing support through volunteer services and supplies.

Whereas, we have witnessed the Closing Worship Service of the Columbia Annual Conference, and have bathed our spirits in the music of the Emmanuel AME Church Choir, and we have heard the preaching of the Rev. Dr. Daniel Jacobs, who preached to our souls, spirits and circumstances, from the Biblical text found in Corinthians 5:17-20, from the subject, “We are Ambassadors for Christ”.

Through these events, we have celebrated the salvation of Jesus Christ, experienced the substance of Jesus Christ and therefore, we look forward to the start of a new conference year, and the challenges of the great opportunity to bring more souls into the kingdom, and give service to the community and the world at large.

Whereas, we the members of the Columbia Annual Conference give words of thanks, gratitude, admiration, appreciation and encouragement to the Emmanuel church family, including the host pastor - the Reverend Timothy Cokely, Mrs. Cokely and the staff and volunteers of this pristine and apt church family for their hospitality, their patience and indulgence to assure that we were comfortable, well fed, well served and at home for this week of conference activities.

Whereas, we acknowledge the insight and innovation of our leader and reverent father in God, the Right Reverend Preston Warren Williams II, and our spiritual mother and nurturer, Sister Wilma Webb-Williams, and therefore we offer our thanks to them. And we offer our service to the church by way of their leadership and resolve that this 128th session of the Columbia Annual Conference holds the light high for all of African Methodism to see, and for all of the kingdom of God to note, that through Christ, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength and able bodies to do his work.
Be it resolved, that the spirit of Jesus - the Christ - has preserved us for his best that is yet to come, and this conference has given us the appropriate launching place for ministry and service for another year.

We therefore, request the members of this conference to rise as one in affirmation of our hosts, our conference leaders and our Episcopal leadership and clap our hands in praise for what God has done with us, to us and through us - this week, as an act of faith for the future of our Zion and all of our members to be proud members of the kingdom of God through the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

- The Reverend Dr. Jo Baldwin, a noted author, along with others, was ordained on Saturday, October 8, 2005, at the 131st Session of the Central North Mississippi Annual Conference, Greenville/Vicksburg District. Rev. Baldwin was elected and ordained an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, at Travis Chapel AMEC, Vicksburg, Mississippi.
