4. JOHNSON CHAPEL AME CHURCH, SANTA ANA, CALFORNIA

UPDATE ON SISTER ALIA STEWART
As previously reported earlier this week, Sister Alia Stewart, a junior at Hampton University and one of Johnson Chapel’s very own, was involved in a serious car accident this past weekend. The accident occurred while Alia was returning to school with her cousin after visiting relatives in the New York area over the long Thanksgiving weekend. A man was tailgating them and pulled up next to them and literally forced them off the road with his vehicle. Alia's car then went into the oncoming traffic and was hit by an auto parts truck. Authorities responding to the scene could not believe that the girls were able to walk away with relatively minor injuries (PRAISE GOD!). Alia’s mother, Sister Mitsy Wilson, will be traveling to be with her daughter this weekend and will be calling to give the JC Family a full report. Please continue to keep Alia and her cousin in your prayers

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

“The best way to get the last word is to apologize."

“If you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared by the words of your mouth, then do this, my son, to free yourself, since you have fallen onto your neighbor’s hand: Go and humble yourself; press your plea with your neighbor!” Proverbs 6:2, 3 (NIV)
