10. KUDOS FOR SISTER GWEN IFILL FROM THE REVEREND DR. HERMAN O.KELLY:

Spread the word! Ms. Gwen Ifill, a member of the African Methodist Episcopal Church handled herself Tuesday night on National television. What a wonderful role model for youth and adults. She kept both Vice-Presidential Candidates in check. I celebrate with her and the entire Ifill Family and the Church family.

Smiling from ear to ear, Herman O. Kelly, Jr. D.Min.Bethel African Methodist Episcopal ChurchBaton Rouge, La.

11. COMMENT FROM THE EDITOR:

You should have known her father! He was eloquent and when I was a youngster and would hear Dr. Ifill speak on the conference floor. I admired his eloquence and knew that he had the intellectual foundation to support his eloquence. Gwen Ifill "got it honestly!"

12. SISTER ROSEMARIE RHODES MILLER POSTS A CORRECTION NOTICE RELATED TO THE JUDICIAL MEMBERS LISTED IN THE LAST ISSUE:

I am Rosemarie Rhodes Miller, an attorney and administrative judge, and most importantly, a member of the Judicial Council of the AME Church. The listing of the Judicial Council of the A.M.E. Church" contained in the September 27, 2004, edition of the Christian Recorder only included those persons elected at the last General Conference. Neither the President of the Judicial Council, Attorney Patricia Mayberry, nor any other officer was identified.

Indeed, only three members of the nine members of the current Judicial Council were identified. Because for the other positions listed both the newly elected persons as well as those who retained their positions, the listing for the Judicial Council may be misinterpreted as the entire membership of the current Judicial Council. Thus, I recommend that a correction be noted in the next edition.
